Producing
My name is Tom Taylor
I am a producer specialising in indie folk, folk rock, and rock and metal; coming from a background as a songwriter and performer. I focus on capturing authentic energy, honest emotion, and the natural sound of a room rather than chasing perfection. I taught myself the art of music production through years of learning, experimenting, and attentive listening. I am currently studying Music Production at University to broaden and deepen my knowledge. After growing up in an oppressive and abusive religious household, music became both my escape and my way of understanding my emotions and experiences - something that still shapes how I work as an artist, and influences my methods with other artists as well. When working with others my goal is always the same: to have fun with the artists and to help them feel as comfortable, inspired, and heard as possible while creating records that feel alive and accurately capture their creative essence.

Sean Bustin
I began working with Sean Bustin in 2025 as the producer and mixer on his latest album "The Problem of the many". This was my first official project producing an artist that I was not personally part of as a musician, making it a major milestone in my career. The project focused on capturing a natural, intimate folk sound while maintaining clarity and the emotional impact of Sean's performance and energy as an artist in the mix. Working on this album allowed me to showcase my production and mixing abilities in a professional context, and helped establish my identity as a producer outside of band projects.

Your Shadow Self
I have been developing Your Shadow Self since 2023 as my own personal music project, where I work as the producer, mixer, and songwriter. Through this project I have written, recorded, produced, and mixed two full albums, using it as a space to refine both my songwriting and production skills. Your Shadow Self allows me to experiment creatively while also tracking my growth as an artist and producer over time. It is a central part of my musical identity and a key way I showcase the progression of my sound and technical ability as a songwriter and engineer.
Sexecution
Sexecution was a Heavy Metal band formed in 2022 as the result of an end of year college project. The band consisted of: Ena (vocals), Ben (Lead Guitar), Rory (Rhythm Guitar), Tom (me) (drums) and a session bassist.
In May 2024, Sexecution released their first album, 'You've Just Lost College'. The album was recorded in the final months of College for our Final Major Project. The album consists of 10 songs which were all recorded live.
Our second album (which was actually recorded first) was released soon after. This album was not serious and was something that we recorded at first when we were bored.
All music that we released was produced by me. This was my first time properly mixing and producing. I had just started getting into mixing so I decided to take it upon myself to mix a whole album.

I am currently remixing our first album.

Fall Short
I worked with Fall Short from 2023 to 2025 as the producer, mixer, and drummer. During this time we recorded, produced, mixed, and released an EP, and we are currently in the process of recording a full album. This project has been especially valuable for challenging me outside of my main comfort zones, allowing me to develop my mixing and production skills in a genre that I enjoy but was initially less confident working in. Fall Short has played an important role in broadening my versatility as a producer.
